Stimmhorn was a Swiss band that played experimental ethno-music. It was formed in 1996 by Balthasar Streiff and Christian Zehnder. The name reflects their sound: two voices with traditional Swiss yodeling and horn music.

The duo used many sounds and instruments. Zehnder sang normally, did overtone singing, and yodeled. He also played the wippkordeon, a bandoneon, a bandurria, an organ pipe, and a hang percussion instrument, among others.

Streiff sang and played horn-like instruments, including the alphorn, double alphorn, alpofon, büchel, cornet, baroque trumpet, cornetto, and tuba.

They also worked with guest musicians, such as the overtone-singing group Huun-Huur-Tu from Tuva and Tomek Kolczynski (kold electronics) on their Igloo album and in a Faust production.

In November 2009, Zehnder and Streiff performed together for the last time as Stimmhorn. They won several awards at national and international levels.
