Steven K. Feiner
Steven K. Feiner is an American computer scientist and professor at Columbia University. He works in computer graphics, augmented reality (AR), and spatial computing, and he co-authored Computer Graphics: Principles and Practice. He leads the Columbia Computer Graphics and User Interface Lab. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Brown University in 1973 and his Ph.D. from Brown in 1985. Feiner was elected an ACM Fellow in 2018 for his contributions to human‑computer interaction, virtual and augmented reality, and 3D user interfaces. He has received the CHI Academy award (2011) and the IEEE VGTC Virtual Reality Career Award (2014).
