A life-size bronze statue of Sonny Bono—the musician, former Palm Springs mayor, and U.S. congressman—stands at Plaza Mercado in downtown Palm Springs, California. Also known as the Sonny Bono Memorial Fountain, the sculpture was created by Emmanuel Snitkovsky and installed in 2001.
