The story follows her school days and her friendships with Vaibhav and Abhi. She moves through relationships and becomes confused by her feelings. Ankita excels at St Agnes College and later gets into a top MBA program in Mumbai. She begins a romance with Abhishek, but after she ends things with him, he is heartbroken and dies by suicide.

While studying for her MBA, Ankita grows extremely capable—she has a sharp memory, stamina, and charm. But she also experiences a wave of happiness that turns reckless, followed by a deep depression. She is admitted to a mental hospital and diagnosed with bipolar disorder. After many months, she learns to manage her condition.

Fifteen years later, Ankita has earned six degrees, is married, and lives happily with her young daughter, determined to shape her life the way she wants. The story is about love, hope, and the power of determination to overcome fate.
