Stancheva Peak
Stancheva Peak is an ice-covered mountain at the west end of Bigla Ridge on the Foyn Coast of the Antarctic Peninsula. It rises to 1,644 meters and has steep rocky slopes on the northwest, southeast, and southwest. The peak overlooks Sleipnir Glacier to the north and Beaglehole Glacier to the south. It is named after Kameliya Stancheva, who supported Bulgaria’s Antarctic program in 1996–97. The coordinates are 66°30′55″S, 64°08′54″W (66.51528°S, 64.14833°W). It is 4.6 km south of Vologes Ridge, 6.68 km west-southwest of Mount Mecheva, and 5.05 km northwest of Chuypetlovo Knoll. It was mapped by Britain in 1976.
