Earl Desmond
Clayton Earl Desmond (March 9, 1894 – July 14, 1968) was a Canadian farmer and politician. Born in Morpeth, Ontario, he served as a Member of Parliament for the Kent riding from 1940 to 1949. He was elected in 1940 as a National Government candidate and re-elected in 1945 as a Progressive Conservative. Desmond lost his seat in 1949 to Liberal Blake Huffman. He was married to Maribel Fraser in 1918 and died in Chatham, Ontario, at age 74.
