Art Island
Art Island, also known as Île d'Art, is the largest island in the Belep Islands, off New Caledonia. It covers about 53 square kilometres (20 square miles). The main settlement is Waala, which is the capital of Belep commune. In August 2016, a large bushfire burned on Art Island.
