Stainless Gamelan is a compilation album by John Cale and the Theatre of Eternal Music. It was released in 2002 and includes recordings from 1965–1968. The music is drone, minimalist, and experimental. The album runs 55 minutes and 18 seconds and was released by Table of the Elements. It is the fourth and final release in a loose series that also includes Sun Blindness Music, Day Of Niagara, and Dream Interpretation. The project captures Cale during his time with the minimalist group Theatre of Eternal Music. It is sometimes called Stainless "Steel" Gamelan or John Cale: Inside the Dream Syndicate Volume 3.
