Futari Escape
Futari Escape is a Japanese yuri romantic comedy manga by Shōichi Taguchi. It ran in Comic Yuri Hime from July 18, 2020, to December 16, 2022, and has four volumes collected from November 2020 to February 2023. The English version is published by Seven Seas Entertainment.
The story follows two young women, Senpai (a stressed manga artist) and Kouhai (a total slacker), as they escape the pressures of adult life and spend their time enjoying meals and day trips together.
A live-action TV drama adaptation is planned for October 2025. It will be directed by Kahori Higashi, with scripts by Higashi and Mari Kawada; Hiroki Yamamoto is the chief producer, and Miyuki Sasagi and Seiya Horio are producers. Nogizaka46 members Renka Iwamoto and Nao Tomisato star as the two leads. The show will air on TV Osaka and TV Aichi starting October 4, 2025, with the opening theme "Futari de Hitotsu" by Kentarō Seino.
The manga was nominated for the Next Manga Award in 2021 and 2022, finishing 19th in both years.
