Qianyang County is in western Shaanxi province, China, and borders Gansu to the north. It is administered by the city of Baoji. The county covers about 994 square kilometers and sits at elevations from about 710 to 1,546 meters above sea level. In 2019, around 125,400 people lived there, with a population density of about 126 people per square kilometer. The area uses China Standard Time (UTC+8) and has the postal code 721100. Vehicle plates in the county start with 陕C.

Qianyang has a long history. It was established as Qianyang in 570, and in 1964 the name was written in a simplified form to avoid rare characters. The county is known as the birthplace of Qin culture and for its traditional folk embroidery.

Administratively, as of 2020, Qianyang is divided into seven towns.
