St. John's West was a federal electoral district in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. It elected Members of Parliament to the House of Commons from 1949, when Newfoundland joined Canada, until 2000. The district was abolished in 2003 and redistributed into Avalon and St. John's South—Mount Pearl.

Creation and boundaries:

In 1966, its boundaries were redrawn to include the provincial districts of St. John’s South, Ferryland, St. Mary’s and Placentia East, plus parts of St. John’s West, St. John’s North and St. John’s Centre not in St. John’s East.

Members of Parliament:
The riding elected MPs over the years, including Mr. Carter (resigned September 3, 1975) and Charles J. Power (resigned January 31, 2000).

Abolition:
In 2003, St. John’s West was dissolved and its areas were redistributed into Avalon and St. John’s South—Mount Pearl.
