Plot in simple terms:
In Dwaraka, the sage Narada suggests Subhadra should marry Arjuna. Krishna helps make this possible, while Balarama initially contemplates a match with Duryodhana. Arjuna returns from his travels in disguise, falls in love with Subhadra, and they are united with Krishna’s help.
In the Khandava Forest, Agni is hungry and, with Krishna’s aid, destroys the forest and receives divine weapons for Krishnarjuna. A boastful Gaya (Gayopakhyanam) earns Krishna’s wrath, and Narada tricks Gaya into facing Arjuna. Duryodhana and Karna try to win Pandavas over, but Krishna declares the conflict will be only between Krishnarjuna. War breaks out and is fierce, but Lord Shiva stops it. Krishna eventually pardons Gaya, saying the drama tested Arjuna for future battles. The story ends with a blessing that listening to Gayopakhyanam gives fearlessness in danger.
The film was a commercial success and was later dubbed into Kannada and Tamil.
