Spermatocelectomy is a surgical procedure to remove a spermatocele, a fluid-filled lump near the testicle. Under anesthesia, the surgeon makes a small cut in the scrotum. The testicle and the epididymis are brought to the incision, the spermatocele is separated and tied off, and then removed. The incision is closed with stitches.
