Scandinavian Nights is a double live album by Deep Purple, recorded on 12 November 1970 at Stockholm’s Konserthuset and released in 1988. The concert was recorded by Swedish Radio and aired in two parts, one in 1970 and the rest in 1982. A bootleg called Alive Tribute To Wally circulated in the mid‑80s. Tom Leader remixed the tapes in London, and the European release kept the title Scandinavian Nights. In the United States, the 1992 double CD was titled Live and Rare. The original master tapes were rediscovered and remixed for a 2005 release, Live in Stockholm (Purple Records), which is the most complete version with interludes and the tracks in their original order. A 2014 edition, Stockholm 1970 (Edel), added extra material: two Paris recordings for Pop Deux (1970), a Jon Lord interview, and a bonus Granada TV performance on a DVD. All tracks were written by Ritchie Blackmore, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Jon Lord, and Ian Paice, unless otherwise noted.
