Sonny Parker (footballer)
Sonny Parker (born 28 February 1983) is a former English footballer who played as a defender. He was born in Middlesbrough, England, and came through Birmingham City’s youth system but never played for their first team.
In December 2002, he joined Bristol Rovers, where he made 30 league appearances and scored one goal, along with a couple of cup games, before being released in 2005.
He then returned to the North East to play for Gateshead, making 17 league appearances and scoring once. Parker went on to play for Bishop Auckland (2005–06) and Horden Colliery Welfare (2006). He later played for Osmotherley Rangers, with 14 appearances and 3 goals.
After his football career, he works for his family’s business in Teesside as a skilled joiner.
