Songs III: Bird on the Water
Songs III: Bird on the Water is Marissa Nadler’s third full-length studio album. It was released on March 12, 2007, by Peacefrog Records. The US and Canada got a release on August 12, 2007, through Kemado Records. The album runs 48 minutes and 6 seconds and is in the folk genre. It was produced by Greg Weeks and Marissa Nadler. In Nadler’s discography, the album comes after The Saga of Mayflower May (2005) and before Little Hells (2009).
The album was nominated for Best Americana Record of the Year at the 2007 PLUG Awards, and Nadler was nominated for Best Female Artist. She later won Outstanding Singer-Songwriter of the Year at the 2008 Boston Music Awards, with three nominations in total. The US release included a digital bonus EP.
