David Maher, commonly known as Davie Maher, was an English footballer born on 30 November 1880 in Poplar, England. He played as a forward, usually on the right. His career included Millwall Athletic (1899–1902), Brentford (1902–1903) where he made 29 league appearances and scored 3 goals, Preston North End (1903–1906) with 24 appearances and 2 goals, and Carlisle United (1906–1915). He died on 21 February 1936 in Carlisle, England, aged 55. He played in the Football League for Preston North End.
