Song of the Sarong

Song of the Sarong is a 1945 American musical film. It stars Nancy Kelly and William Gargan. The movie was directed by Harold Young, written and produced by Gene Lewis, with music by Edward Ward. The cinematography is by Maury Gertsman and editing by Fred R. Feitshans Jr. It was released by Universal Pictures on April 1, 1945, and runs 65 minutes.

Plot:
On the island of Kashira in the South Seas, a tribe guards priceless pearls. Adventurer Drew Allen, who was stranded on Kashira before, returns to try to recover the pearls. A thunderstorm, an emergency landing, stowaways, and clashes with the natives complicate his mission. After many trials, the island is eventually converted to Christianity.
