Sofiivka, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Sofiivka is a rural settlement in Kryvyi Rih Raion, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, in central Ukraine. It is the center of the Sofiivka settlement hromada and has about 6,329 residents (2022). The village sits on the Kamianka river, a right tributary of the Bazavluk in the Dnipro river basin. Sofiivka used to be the administrative center of Sofiivka District until July 2020, when the district was abolished and merged into Kryvyi Rih Raion. On January 26, 2024, it was reclassified from an urban-type settlement to a rural settlement. The town lies on Highway H11 between Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih, with road access to Apostolove (south) and Piatykhatky (north). The nearest railway station is Devladove, about 10 km northwest, on the Dnipro–Kryvyi Rih line. Time zone: EET (UTC+2) and EEST (UTC+3 in summer). Coordinates: 48.05°N, 33.8667°E.
