Palmer Bay
Palmer Bay is a small bay about 1 nautical mile wide on the north coast of Coronation Island, just west of Crown Head in the South Orkney Islands. It was discovered in December 1821 during a joint voyage by British sealer Captain George Powell (in the Dove) and American sealer Captain Nathaniel Palmer (in the James Monroe). The bay is named after Captain Palmer.
