Skoddemedet Peak
Skoddemedet Peak is a rocky summit in Queen Maud Land, about 5 nautical miles (9 km) southwest of Hogfonna Mountain in the Borg Massif. It lies at coordinates 72°50′S 3°51′W (about 72.833°S, 3.850°W). The peak was mapped by Norwegian cartographers from surveys and air photos taken during the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (NBSAE) of 1949–1952, and it was named Skoddemedet, meaning “the fog landmark.”
