Charles Eustace Anson
Admiral Charles Eustace Anson, CB, MVO (3 December 1859 – 28 April 1940) was a Royal Navy officer. He came from the Anson family; his father was the Reverend Frederick Anson, Canon of Windsor, and his mother was Caroline Maria, daughter of George John Venables-Vernon, the 5th Baron Vernon. He joined HMS Britannia as a cadet in July 1872 and was promoted to captain on 31 December 1901. He was the father of Horatio St George Anson, an electrical engineer, and Peter Anson, a writer.
