Sir Charles Barrington, 5th Baronet (c. 1671–29 January 1715) was an English Tory politician. He was the second son of Thomas Barrington and Lady Anne Rich. He became the 5th Baronet in 1691 after his older brother John died of smallpox at 21. He studied at Felsted School.

Charles served as Member of Parliament for Essex from 1694 to 1705, and again from 1713 until his death in 1715. He was Vice-Admiral of Essex from 1702 to 1705, and again from 1712 to 1714. He was a freeman of Maldon and held the roles of alderman and bailiff there.

He married Bridget Monson in 1693; she died in 1699. He then married Hon. Anna Marie FitzWilliam, daughter of William FitzWilliam, 1st Earl FitzWilliam, in 1700. He died childless, and his cousin John Shales inherited the baronetcy after changing his surname to Barrington. He was buried at Hatfield Broad Oak in Essex.
