Kerys Harrop
Kerys Julia Harrop (born 3 December 1990) is a former English footballer who played as a central defender and wing back. She was born in Wordsley, England, and is 1.75 m tall.
Her club career began with Birmingham City, where she played from 2011 to 2020, making 135 league appearances and scoring 13 goals. She then joined Tottenham Hotspur, playing from 2020 to 2023 and making 48 league appearances with 2 goals. In total, she made 183 club appearances and scored 15 goals.
Internationally, Harrop represented England at youth levels, including England U19 and U20. She was part of the England U19 squad that won the European Championship in Belarus in 2009. She also played for Great Britain at the 2013 World University Games in Kazan, where she won a gold medal. For England U20, she had 3 caps and 1 goal (as of 2010).
Her achievements include winning the FA Cup with Birmingham City Ladies in 2012 and helping the team reach the Champions League semi-finals in 2014. On 2 April 2023, she set the Women's Super League all-time appearances record with her 178th game. Harrop announced her retirement from professional football on 24 August 2023.
Education and background: Harrop earned a first-class honours degree in Sport Science from Loughborough University, a master's degree from the Sports Business Institute Barcelona, and a PGCE Teaching Degree from the University of Wolverhampton. She holds British and American citizenship.
