The Sharpshooter Turret is a one‑man, stabilized gun turret developed for armored vehicles, including Malaysia’s ACV‑300 Adnan. Originating in Turkey, it weighs about 1,500 kg and is operated by a single crew member. It can be fitted with one of three primary weapons: a 25 mm Giat M811 cannon, a 40 mm grenade launcher, or a 12.7 mm machine gun, all with a coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun. Weapons are linked to the gunner’s day/night sight, which includes a thermal imager and a laser rangefinder. The turret uses an all‑electric drive with two‑axis stabilization for firing on the move. Elevation is from -8° to +49°, and it can rotate 360°. It fires at about 200 rounds per minute, with a muzzle velocity of 1,100 m/s. Effective range is about 2,000 meters; maximum range around 6,800 meters. Sighting also includes four M27 Unity Vision periscopes as a secondary sight. Armor protects against 14.5×114 mm rounds. The main role is to defeat lightly armored vehicles and provide rapid fire support for infantry, including precise shots in urban environments while keeping troops mounted.
