Serena Jade Sundell (born August 29, 2002) is an American basketball player for the Adelaide Lightning in the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL). She played college basketball at Kansas State from 2021 to 2025, where she became the program’s all-time leader in assists and earned multiple Big 12 honors, including first-team selections in 2024 and 2025. Sundell led the NCAA in assists in 2025 and finished her senior year averaging about 14.1 points, 7.3 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per game. She helped Kansas State reach the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2002 and set the school single-game record with 15 assists.

Sundell grew up in Maryville, Missouri, where she starred at Maryville High School. She was named Miss Show-Me Basketball in 2021 and finished as the school’s all-time leading scorer with 2,358 points. She also excelled in volleyball and was a state runner-up in the high jump.

Draft and pro career: Sundell was selected 26th overall in the 2025 WNBA draft by the Seattle Storm. She was waived by Seattle on May 12, 2025. The Dallas Wings signed her to a seven‑day hardship contract on August 26, 2025, and she played three games before being released on September 4. In August 2025, she signed with the Adelaide Lightning for the 2025–26 season.

3x3 and national team: Sundell was named to the USA 3x3 Women’s Nations League team in 2025, competing in Chile. Her team finished as runners-up at the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series event in Edmonton. She was later named to the USA 3x3 U23 World Cup team for September 2025 in China.
