School Days is a 1995 Taiwan teen drama directed by Kevin Chu. It stars Jimmy Lin as Hui Chi Ho, Takeshi Kaneshiro as Eagle, Ruby Lin as Xin Fu “Princess,” Franco Jiang as Crow, and Chin Ho as Bull. The film was originally released in Taiwan as Campus Squad and was renamed School Days for the Hong Kong release, with the Cantonese version to appeal to local audiences.

Plot
Hui Chi Ho, from a wealthy family, arrives at a new school and is treated with awe but soon harassed by Crow and his gang for money. Chi Ho keeps quiet to avoid special treatment from the school. A new student, Eagle, joins the class; he has a tough past and is feared by many. Eagle quickly notices Chi Ho’s bullying and steps in to protect him, and the two become friends. Chi Ho learns that Eagle fights to defend the weak.

Crow hires Bull, a member of a triad, to “teach” Eagle a lesson. Bull beats up Eagle’s bike and makes Eagle stop attending school. Crow realizes he can’t control the school while Eagle is around and partners with Chi Ho to bring Eagle back to help drive Bull and his gang out. The plan leads to a confrontation under an expressway overpass. Although the odds are against them, Eagle arrives and defeats Bull and his gang. Afterward, the students reconcile and the dean lets the incident slide because they were defending the school.

Production notes
