Salzburg-Umgebung District is an administrative district in Austria, located in the state of Salzburg. It surrounds the city of Salzburg, which is its own separate district. The district corresponds to the Flachgau region. It covers 1,004.47 square kilometers and has about 157,440 residents (as of 2023), with a population density of around 157 people per square kilometer. The administrative center is Seekirchen am Wallersee. The district is made up of 37 municipalities, including three towns and six market towns. Time zone is CET (UTC+1).
