Salvatore D'Alterio (born 17 February 1980) is an Italian former footballer who played as a defender. Born in Villaricca, he began his career with Casertana, making a couple of appearances before the club dropped to Serie D. He stayed with Casertana for three seasons and then moved to Nocerina in 2000.

In 2001 he joined Messina in Serie B on a co-ownership deal and spent time on loan at Martina. He returned to Messina when they reached Serie A and played six league games. He later played for Foggia and Taranto, then Portogruaro. In January 2010 he moved to Pescara and helped them win promotion to Serie B six months later. In January 2011 he was loaned to Salernitana.

After a spell back at Pescara, he signed with Messina in September 2011 in Serie D. He later had spells with Messina again, Casertana, Martina Franca, and finally Cavese, where he finished his career.
