Salmon Gargoyle is an outdoor sculpture by Wayne Chabre. Created in 1987 and installed on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene in 1988. The piece features a hammered copper head of a salmon, with Kwakiutl designs on its sides, mounted on a stainless steel frame. It measures about 5 feet tall, 3 feet wide, and 8.5 feet long (1.5 m × 0.91 m × 2.6 m). The sculpture is owned by the University of Oregon. In March 1993, the Smithsonian Institution's Save Outdoor Sculpture! program assessed it as needing treatment. Location: University of Oregon, Eugene, Oregon, United States.
