AIDAblu
AIDAblu is a Sphinx-class cruise ship operated by AIDA Cruises, part of the Costa Crociere group. Built by Meyer Werft in Germany for about $420 million, it was launched in 2009 and entered service in February 2010. It is the seventh ship in its class and has sister ships AIDAdiva, AIDAbella, and AIDAluna; followed by AIDAsol and AIDAmar.
Specifications: Length 253.33 m; beam 32.2 m; draught 7.3 m; gross tonnage 71,304; 15 decks; diesel-electric power around 36,000 kW with four Caterpillar MaK engines. Passenger capacity about 2,050; crew 607; cabins 1,096 (374 inside, 722 outside). It is registered in Genoa, Italy; owner Costa Crociere S.p.A.; operator AIDA Cruises.
Onboard: six restaurants, ten bars, 8,120 square metres of outer decks, and a 3,000 square metre atrium. It also has the ship's first onboard brewery.
