Rich Thompson (pitcher, born 1958)
Rich Thompson (Richard Neil Thompson), born November 1, 1958, in New York City, is a former American Major League Baseball relief pitcher. He batted and threw right-handed. He made his MLB debut on April 28, 1985, with the Cleveland Indians and played his last MLB game on April 22, 1990, with the Montreal Expos. In 77 MLB appearances, he went 3–10 with a 5.05 ERA and 45 strikeouts. He also played in Taiwan's CPBL for the Wei Chuan Dragons in 1993, going 1–7 with a 5.92 ERA and 16 strikeouts.
