Saint-Germain-des-Bois, Cher
Saint-Germain-des-Bois is a small farming commune in the Cher department, in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. It covers about 129 square kilometers and has around 587 residents as of 2023.
The village and a few small hamlets sit about 21 kilometers south of Bourges, at the crossroads of the D28 and D132 roads. The A71 autoroute passes through the northwestern part of the commune.
Administratively, the mayor for 2020–2026 is Étienne Durand. Saint-Germain-des-Bois is part of the CC Le Dunois intercommunality. The elevation ranges from about 162 to 184 meters above sea level, averaging around 163 meters.
