Reliance, Texas
Reliance is a ghost town in Brazos County, Texas, in the Bryan–College Station metropolitan area. It sits about three miles east of U.S. Highway 190 on Farm to Market Road 1179, roughly nine miles north of Bryan.
In 1905–1906, Reliance had a school with 91 students and two teachers, who also taught in nearby Independence. The school was still operating in 1948. Today, Reliance is part of the Bryan Independent School District.
