Photo Journal was a French-language weekly newspaper published in Québec. It specialized in illustrations and the entertainment world. The paper was founded by Rolland Maillet and began publication in 1937. Over the years, ownership changed hands: Jean-Louis Lévesque (1964), Jacques Brillant (1966), J.-Laurent Leduc (1969), Claude Coupal (1973), and Normand G. Robidoux (1974). In 1979 the newspaper filed for bankruptcy. Gilles Brown tried to save it at the same time as Le Petit Journal, but failed. Photo Journal stopped publishing in October 1981.
