The 75th Independence Day Commemoration Medal was issued to recognize the 75th anniversary of Sri Lanka’s independence from the United Kingdom. It was awarded on 1 February 2023 to all actively serving personnel in both the regular and volunteer forces and to National Cadet Corps officers, in time to commemorate Independence Day on 4 February 2023. A formal recommendation from service commanders was required for the award.
