Safir (cycling team)
Safir was a Belgian professional road cycling team that existed from 1978 to 1988. It was registered in Belgium and competed in road racing. During its ten-year history the team used several different names, including Safir–Beyers–Ludo, Safir–Geuze–Saint-Louis–Ludo, Safir–Ludo, Safir–Ludo–Galli, Safir–Marc, Safir–Van de Ven, Roland–Van de Ven, Roland–Skala, and Roland–Safir. A notable rider was Herman Van Springel, who won Bordeaux–Paris twice with the team. Safir is now disbanded.
