Tritemnodon
Tritemnodon is an extinct mammal from the order Hyaenodonta that lived in North America during the early Eocene, about 50 to 46 million years ago. It was about the size of a wolf. Fossils have been found in Utah (Willwood Formation) and Wyoming (Lower Bridger Formation). The most well-known species is Tritemnodon agilis, whose name means “three cutting teeth.” In the past, this animal has been called by several other scientific names, but today it is usually referred to as T. agilis.
