La Rochette, called La Rosheta in Savoyard, is a village in southeastern France. It was a separate commune in the Savoie department, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, until 1 January 2019, when it merged to form the new commune Valgelon-La Rochette. The area covers about 14.66 square kilometers and had a population of 3,754 in 2022. The village sits at an elevation from 322 to 807 meters. It is part of the Chambéry arrondissement and the Montmélian canton, with the postal code 73110. In the center of the village there is a château.
