Tim Arango
Tim Arango is an American journalist and national correspondent for The New York Times, based in Los Angeles. He joined the Times in 2007 and later led its Baghdad bureau, reporting on war and other major events. In 2009 he left the Times to cover the day-to-day violence in Baghdad, after having only limited overseas experience—his only foreign work had been a year with an English newspaper in Budapest. He earned a Master’s degree in American Studies from Brown University. Arango has also written for Fortune Magazine and The New York Post, appeared in the documentary Page One: Inside the New York Times, and later worked for TheStreet.com covering Wall Street.
