Safe Swiss Cloud is a Swiss-based provider of sovereign Private AI, managed IT services, cloud computing and application hosting. It serves privacy-sensitive industries like healthcare and financial services. Founded in 2013 by Prodosh Banerjee (CEO) and Gerald Dürr, the company grew to multiple data centers in 2015 and expanded its capacity. In 2017, it added platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift, OpenStack and VMware/vCloud, and invested in larger SSD storage. By 2025 it offers Private AI services along with computing, storage, networking, databases, application services, deployment, systems management, AI tools and IoT support. Services can be used in self-service or managed modes, with APIs to provision resources in OpenShift and OpenStack; Private AI is accessible via chat clients or API calls.

The company has a history of acquisitions and awards. It bought Nexos in Basel in August 2015, and in late 2017 Everyware AG acquired a controlling stake. In 2015 it won the Bully Awards for innovation, leadership and growth, and it was recognized by the EU agency ENISA in December 2015 as best practice for cloud use in finance. Safe Swiss Cloud has also collaborated with Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) on cyber intelligence and advanced cloud billing research, supported by CTI, the Swiss government’s innovation program.
