Saalfeld-Rudolstadt II

Saalfeld-Rudolstadt II is an electoral district for the Thuringian state parliament (Landtag). It elects one member by first-past-the-post voting and is numbered 29. The district covers the eastern part of Saalfeld-Rudolstadt.

The constituency was created for the 1994 state election and was originally named Schwarzakreis II; it was renamed after that election.

Since 2024, the seat has been held by Denis Häußer of the AfD. From 1994 to 2024, it was represented by members of the CDU: first Harald Stauch (1994–2009) and then Maik Kowalleck (2009–2024).

As of the 2019 state election, Saalfeld-Rudolstadt II covers the eastern part of Saalfeld-Rudolstadt and a small part of the Sonneberg district, including Altenbeuthen, Drognitz, Gräfenthal, Hohenwarte, Kaulsdorf, Lehesten, Leutenberg, Probstzella, Saalfeld/Saale (excluding Wittgendorf), Unterwellenborn (from Saalfeld-Rudolstadt), and Neuhaus am Rennweg (Lichte and Piesau) from Sonneberg.
