Raindirk Audio
Raindirk Audio Ltd is a private UK company that makes high-end pro-audio gear for recording studios and live sound. Founded in 1973 and based in Long Sutton, it designs all its products, including its renowned large-format mixing consoles, with Cyril Jones as the designer. Raindirk’s first console was sold to Kingsway Studios, owned by former Deep Purple singer Ian Gillan. Their consoles have been used by artists such as Luciano Pavarotti and Max Bygraves. While the company used to compete with Neve, API, SSL, Harrison, Studer, and AMEK in the high-end studio market, it has in recent years shifted focus toward premium live sound equipment and has developed high-specification DI boxes and microphone pre-amps for DAW-based studios.
