Rosa sits in central Blount County along U.S. Route 231, and its southeast edge borders the city of Oneonta. US-231 runs through Rosa, linking it to Oneonta (about 4 miles southeast), Cleveland (about 3 miles to the west), and Huntsville (about 60 miles north). The town covers about 4.2 square miles, almost all land, at an elevation of 637 feet. The ZIP code is 35121 and the area codes are 205 and 659. Rosa is in the Central Time Zone. In 2000, Rosa had 125 households and was nearly all White, with an average household size of about 2.5 people.
