Great Glen railway station
Great Glen railway station is in Great Glen, Leicestershire, England. It was built by the Midland Railway in 1857 on the line from Leicester to Bedford and Hitchin. It opened as Glen (also spelled Glenn), later renamed Glen Magna, and finally became Great Glen. Passenger services ended in 1951, and the station became unstaffed in 1962. Goods traffic continued until 1964 when the station closed completely. The station buildings still stand and are now used by a commercial business. The site had two platforms.
