Ron Beattie

Ron Beattie (born 21 September 1953) is a former Australian rules footballer from Victoria. He played as a defender for Hawthorn in the Victorian Football League (VFL). In 1974 he appeared in nine games for Hawthorn. He originally came from Doveton and later captained Coburg to a premiership in 1979, Coburg’s first top-division flag in 51 years. Beattie was 192 cm tall and weighed 91 kg during his playing days.
