2015 Siirt bombing
On 19 August 2015, at about 14:10, a roadside bomb exploded on the Şirvan–Pervari road in Siirt Province, Turkey. The blast hit an armored vehicle carrying Turkish Gendarmerie personnel, which had driven over the bomb placed on the road hours earlier. Eight people were killed and one was injured. No group claimed responsibility, but the Turkish government blamed the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
