Kite Museum (Malacca)
Kite Museum (Muzium Layang-Layang) in Malacca City, Malaysia, opened in September 1995. It sits on the upper floor of the old Historical City Municipal Council building, a 1960s structure built on the site of Dutch-era ruins. The ground floor houses the People’s Museum and the top floor the Beauty Museum. The Kite Museum showcases kites from many angles—how they’re made in different countries, their uses in communication and as weapons, as well as sport and leisure, and the materials behind kite making. It features the Wau Gallery, Traditional Games, Top Spinning Gallery, and the Datuk Wira Haji Md Borhan bin Yaman Gallery. Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
