Rodrigão
Rodrigo Santana, commonly known as Rodrigão, is a Brazilian former volleyball player. Born on April 17, 1979 in São Paulo, he played as a middle blocker and stood 2.05 meters tall. He was part of Brazil’s national team from 2000 to 2012.
Rodrigo won Olympic gold in 2004 (Athens) and silver in 2008 (Beijing) and 2012 (London). He helped Brazil win the World Championship in 2002, 2006 and 2010, and the World Cup in 2003 and 2007. He also earned medals at the World Grand Champions Cup, World League, and Pan American Games (gold in 2007, bronze in 2003). He was named Best Attacker at the South American Championship in Chile. After a long career with clubs in Brazil and abroad, Rodrigão is now retired.
