Rodobrana
Rodobrana, meaning Home Defense or Nation's Defense, was a Slovak paramilitary group connected to the Slovak People's Party. It existed officially from 1923 to 1927 in Czechoslovakia, when the authorities dissolved it. Afterward, many members continued to work in other party organizations. Rodobrana was a predecessor of the Hlinka Guard. Under Beneš decree No. 16/1945 Coll., being a member carried heavy penalties: 5 to 20 years in prison, or life imprisonment in aggravated cases.
